Origins of a Modern Creative
Formerly from the haunted grounds of Colonial Williamsburg (Virginia) — where she served coffee and studied Film & Media at the College of William & Mary — Silvana briefly haunted the streets of Williamsburg (NYC) and the historical Shaw neighborhood of Washington D.C. , before moving across the pond to Scotland to pursue a Masters in Music Industries at the University of Glasgow.
After interning for CNN and the PBS station WETA, Silvana established herself within the media industry as Video Editor for the 501 (c) 3 non-profit Girls Behind the Rock Show, Operations Coordinator for the online screenwriting school Writing Pad, and regular contributor to various online zines; solidifying her love for the film, tv, and music industries.
In 2023, she chose to explore media industries on an academic research level and conducted original field research into live music audience development practices, completing her dissertation and graduating with Merit in 2024.
When it comes to music culture, cult tv shows, and online cinephile communities, she's your go-to creative. She spends her free time traveling to see concerts, overanalyzing her favorite tv shows, and carefully curating her thrifted vintage clothes collection. As a world traveler across oceans and online spaces, Silvana has found a passion for creative expression and the media that connects people together.
Currently, she serves as Marketing Coordinator to the 78th Edinburgh International Film Festival. She aspires to find her next role in the cross sections of art, music, & television.
She’s currently unavailable for freelance work.
